Ecomuseo del Paesaggio Orvietano
The area of the High Orvietan, by its nature is characterized by numerous villages andnature of various types, was considered the ideal place for the opening of an Eco-museum.
These pathways are already active in the area:
1) The Landscape of Water. This project was attended by the following municipalities: Fabro, Ficulle, Allerona, Castel Viscardo.
This project, retracing paths already exist in the territory of Orvieto with a total length of 130 km, connects between their sites and artifacts that are part of the heritage of the Landscape Water, rivers streams, springs, and springs to the mills .
The locations are as follows:
Journey of Reclamation, between the towns of Fabro and Ficulle.
Going back to the old road that led to Carnaiola town along the river Chiani until you reach the Big Board. In this tour you can see the engineering work and "filled" areas that were filled with earth, hence the name, to drain the swampy areas.
Route of Crete, between the towns of Fabro, Ficulle and Allerona.
The route, starting from Fabro, passing through the territory for the area of gullies or "clay" in accordance with geological clay of great beauty, to end Allerona.
The walk can have a North-South trend, then by Fabro- Allerona, or a trend east-west from Ficulle- Allerona.
Itinerary of straw, between the towns of Castel and Allerona Viscardo.
It is a nature path follows the river as the river between the towns of Paglia , Allerona and Castel Viscardo.
2) The Way of Water. This project was attended by the following municipalities: Parrano, Montegabbione, Monteleone di Orvieto, San Venanzo.
This project focuses on water, intended as a means to promote and safeguard sustainable use. The Way of Water "is intended to focus attention on this element considered in its forms features: fountains, springs and streams. These places are marked with a poster that describes the stream or fountain, with an emphasis on its history and its organoleptic properties, chemical and physical properties.
3) Via delle Fonti. This project was attended by members of the common STINA
This project aims to enhance and protect springs and fountains that are scattered around the area of Orvieto. These artifacts are, therefore, seen as the heritage of rural traditions, so much has been done for the restoration of 13 springs, some of which will be integrated with existing trails and the other path ecomuseum springs linked to "The Way of Water ".
4) "Path of Art" Santa Maria - Fabro. Cross with stories of Umbria. This project was in the town of Monteleone d'Orvieto.
The route was born in Santa Maria, in the municipality of Monteleone d'Orvieto and reaches Fabro Scalo. The route runs through the secondary and local roads, crossing a small stream, down to the valley between woods and fields. It reaches the SS 71 and from there, alongside the road by a curb, came to the station of Fabro. At each entrance to this path of small sculptures are placed within a wooded area and was made a first microgiardino artist, an area in which the artist, Marco Gabriel Perli, you compare with nature. It is hoped that in time may be set Microgiardini other.
5) The Diary of Montegabbione. This work takes the form of a map of community Montegabbione. This project was conducted through a questionnaire sent to schools and families of the town. The responses were collected within a defined framework consists of the perception of the country by those who live there. The data and interviews, in fact, highlighted the way of narrating the past through images, which shows the loving bond with places and monuments. In this way, it was highlighted that the memories have an important significance for the reconstruction of the history of the town.
6) The Facilitator's Manual ecomuseum. This book was born from the Eco Landscape Orvieto, born in 2003 in Trentino Vanoi Ecomuseum active since 1996.Ecomuseum Facilitator's Handbook is a compendium of "pearls of wisdom", a condensate in which you try to give an overview of techniques, tools and practical help to the role of facilitator.
