
The museum, located inside of a historic building, illustrates and documents the environmental and geological significance of the eruptions of three volcanoes of SanVenanzo active 265,000 years ago, and prepares the visitor to view the Park.
The museum allows you not only know the volcanoes of San Venanzo but also to thoroughly analyze the geological history of Umbria through sections of the exhibition of artifacts from local and worldwide collections of fossils, rocks and minerals to reconstruct the evolution of life on Earth.
Will also provide opportunities for local paleontological reality through the exposure of vertebrate remains found in rubble of Mount Peglia which shows the presence of the Neanderthal men.
